Default DS650 losing spark at higher rpm

Hey, I have a question for you guys...I have a 2004 DS650X and this summer I was riding at silver lake sand dunes and i was out riding for about 45 minutes and ended up smoking the cdi box, im sure it was because the negative battery cable came loose and it just smoked the cdi box because of that, and i looked around for a good cdi box and i went and got a big gun cdi box and put it in and it started very hard like it was hydro locking and when it would finally fire it would blow a little bit of black smoke out of the exhaust because i think the cdi box wasnt timed right, and also it would charge at 14.6 volts and if you turned the lights on it would drop voltage at idle and die, so i sent the cdi box in and they sent me a new one and it starts good idles good and doesnt die, but if i go and ride after about a minute of riding hard above 4500 rpms it loses spark and it will not recover itself the motor has to die completely before it will restart and you go to hit the starter and it lights right up and runs just fine until you start riding it hard again...think it could be another bad cdi box or should i be looking for something else...btw it ran perfect with the old dynatek cdi box it had till it almost caught on fire lol

I've tried two new Big Gun CDIs (03 DS 650 Baja) in the past couple of weeks, and had nothing but problems. Will start and idle fine, but cuts out and dies as soon as you rev up the bike in any gear. With stock CDI, runs perfect. I think the latest batch of Big Guns might be junk.
