This might be a tough one if the internal pump is frozen. This model may be hard to get the plastic cap off the tank to replace the pump. It's sold as a unit. Later models are more forgiving and parts can be replaced easier.

The fuel pump must prime up and hold 39 psi with out any drop in pressure. You need a fuel pressure gauge and adapter to fit your fuel rail. Depending on when your 800 was made there are TWO different fuel tanks. One has the fuel pump that can be removed( and rebuilt),is screwed to the tank, the other has a large plastic cap over the top of the pump assembly and the fuel tank/pump must be bought as an assembly. You need to pull the tank cover to see which one you have.
