Default What winch fits a 2012 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO?

This might be a dumb question, but I was going to order one off of amazon and they said it would not fit my Sportsman. None of the Warn 2500lb winches would fit? Is this just an error in the system or do they really not fit?

The warn XT/XT series fit, I have an RT 2500 on mine. You will need a mount plate, you can get a kfi plate that will fit. Go to the KFI site for part numbers.

As long as the mounting plate is for the ATV I can,t see any winch not working.

Both my Sportsman 500 and Grizzly 350 had a warn 2500 from the factory.

I find the 2500 a little light for the Sportsman sometimes, if I every bought another winch I'd look into a 3000lb.

Give Superwinch a look. Contrary to what many say, Warn is not any better, and overpriced for what you get. They have an insane advertising campsign, which we all pay for.

My next winch will be a Superwinch.

I agree, I seen many winchs I never even heard of that seem to work fine.

My cousin has a 2000lb Campion on his 500 Scrambler that has worked good for years now.

Runva is another good brand. A few on many forums are trying them. I am gonna try Duperwinch next, just to keep my American neighbours employed.

I bought a Pro Mark 3000 or 3500 I forget which one. It's been working fine since I bought my 2012 500HO. It's the cable not the rope one.
