OPT.
I was on the polarisatvforums.com forum. I have an electrical issue with my 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500. A member from there recommended I contact you on this forum. Instead of duplicating my issue I pasted the link to my thread is below. The member from polarisatvforums.com was jgue498. He has a high regard for you and said you may be able to help me out. Any suggestions you have is greatly appreciated as I am at my wits end and at the end of my wallet. Thanks so much.

Sounds like you replaced almost everything. Did you replace/check the resistance on the plug wire cap? Plus try the bare wire to the cylinder to see if you have spark? Entirely possible a plug cap resistor can burn out. Ohms resistance readings should be close to 5k ohms. Think in your other post you said you pulled the black kill wire from the cdi and checked for spark also. One other thing is to check the pulse coil gap as the manual shows between .016 to .040 clearance between the face of the pulse(pick up)coil and the tab on the flywheel. It can be tapped in a little if needed. If this was an after market stator and pulse coil, make sure the white and white/red wires aren't switched around at the opposite connector end. A few on the forum have had that happen, plus I had one from Ricky stator that the wires were switched.Took awhile to figure that one out.Plus here's one members post on his pulse coil solution.http://forums.atvconnection.com/3155476-post23.html
