I am having an impossible time trying to get this carb working right. The machine will run, but I need to feather the choke to keep it going. I cleaned the carb very well and when I put it back on, the gas ran out of the bottom of the carb. Also can someone please tell me how to hook up all the lines for vents and such. I'm not to good at working on this type of stuff. There is a clear plastic line that sit under the carb, I have no idea where this line goes.Any help will be helpful.

I have a 97 Trailboss with the same engine. Mine ran noticeably better after I blew air and carb cleaner through the pilot jet. I think gas running out of the bottom is an indication of the float level being set incorrectly. Too high I believe.

Sounds like it's still getting to much fuel if you have to feather the throttle. Best to install a new carb kit. Plenty of them on Ebay.Have the float arm level with the carb body when held up side down.http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOOSE-CARB-REPAIR-KIT-TRAIL-BLAZER-TRAIL-BOSS-1003-0004-/390758001398?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5afafdeaf6&vxp=mtrThe bottom tube on the carb is the bowl over flow. Just have a separate line for it running past the bash plate. Have two separate vent lines on the carb and route them up under the fuel tank. You can zip tie them to the throttle/choke cable.
