Default Speed sensor for EZ steer

Ive just finished installing EZ steer into my 500ho and I'm at the last hurdle.

There is a wire in the harness I have to connect to the red/green wire forom the speed sensor on my ATV. Only trouble is I can't find it!

I have the diagram from the manual showing the sensor in the casing but can't relate this to the ATV.

Am I being stupid and it is right under my nose? I've found the speed sensor on the front rotor, is this the same thing?

Thank you

JF.

Sounds like you've got the right sensor to splice into.Small 2 wire connector that plugs into the speedo. #3. Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse

Looking at a 2009 wiring diagram for speed sensor { SHOULD be the same } shows a red /white , brown and a green / red , - not a red / green , maybe a typo error in your instructions ?

Instructions are probably for the efi machine as it shows the the red/green wiring on the sensor. Just have to get the right wire.

Wow, $650 and it relies on the "Hall effect" sensor working.
I never had much luck with keeping that wheel sensor working. I changed it once for $85 Canadian and it lasted less then a year so I just run without the speedo info.

I think its due to the sensors location, it just takes a beating in the mud and dirt.
