Default help

I presently picked up a 03 400 sportsman the guy I got it from said all it needed was a battery. I should have know better. So I put a new battery I it and absolutely nothing happens key does nothing no lights the winch won't even work I hand fire on the selinoid beside the battery but nowhere else. I haven't messed with it much but I plan on it this weekend is there a Maine fuse or anything that will cause this problem. It does run if stated with recoil just has no electrical at all.

Hopefully it's a simple thermal circuit breaker that's shorted out. Usually you can recoil start, but wont have lights, electric starter or other electrical functions. Check the red wire for voltage on each side of the sealed plastic pouch that's up from the battery. If voltage doesn't go through, just slice the pouch open and you can replace this 20 amp breaker at any auto store. Is circuit breaker one of the one up under the pod or is there another one?

Two circuit breakers. The 20 amp by the battery is the main circuit breaker. The one under the front panel is a 10 amp breaker for the fan motor.
