Default X2 will not shift.

Recently shredded a belt in a 2007 sportsman x2...

upon replacing the belt it will shift from park to any gear but once in gear it will not shift it is stuck... idles at 1100 give or take... doesn't seem to creep.

any ideas?

Besides checking the linkage,belcrank and that everything is tight,if it's still hard to shift with the engine off could be a broken tooth on a gear or binding behind the outer shift plate.If it shifts easier with the engine off,Id still suspect a problem in the clutches. #25 is the mounting plate.I'd have have a sevice manual for this as the gears,etc are indexed. Did you get all the old shredded belt that can triangle up out of sight behind the clutches? Check this Video at 7:30 and 16:30 min into it.
The stuff can hide good.
