2001 Polaris Scrambler 90cc
#1
I recently just acquired a Scrambler 90cc for free.
The problem with it is there is no spark.
I have changed the Spark Plug and it still didn't work.
I thought it might be the coil, but I used VDC setting for my meter and checked the hot and ground and got 55.00 volts or mili volts. The battery is giving off 11.5 volts.
However, When you press the starter, the volts quickly go from 55.00 volts or milli volts to 0.00
What could be the problem?
The coil is giving off 1.2 without being attached on the (i forgot setting, but it was primarily for checking coils.)

You can usually eliminate the stator as a problem by just using the resistance specs in the wiring schematic.Plus gives specs on ignition coil resistance in the electrical chapter and tests all the way down to possible replacement of cdi if all else checks out. Battery condition(may have a weak cell even holding 11.5 volts) can affect peak voltage tests and other tests in the manual.I just usually found problems by resistance. Here's a manual if you don't already have one.http://gh-ftp.com/ORV%20Manuals/Pola...0%20-%20SM.pdf
