I just sold my 400ex, that piece of sh*t. And I have a raptor on order. But know I'm wondering if I should get the DS. I basically ride trails and some sand pits, but mostly muddy and rocky trails. My main question is that I want to know how the DS is as a trail bike? What is the Woods stage kit everyone is talking about? And what is this turbo or fuel injection stuff you are all listing as parts? Thanks for the help. I need to make a decision quick before the Raptor comes in.

I can tell you from experiance a DS not a woods bike. It is too wide and heavy to have to push all the time. Tha Raptor is the better of the two for woods. IN the sand the DS is great b/ of wide open. The DS is really only good in the desert areas. The Woods kit is Ron woods wich is aftermarket exhaust and other things for the DS. Relly the main thing for aftmrkt for the DS. And they are way overpriced.
Both bikes are awesome, but one is bette at one thing and the other at a differ.

alot depends on you meaning your size I'm 6'1 205 and love the ds due to it's size if you ask me all the raptor is, is a banshee with a bigger motor, suspension seems about the same and I used to bottom out my friends banshee all the time have only done that to the rear once and never to the front of the ds and I ride hard. If your going to putt around on the tight trails and narrow ledges then by all means don't get to ds but if your bigger than the avg. man you'll be dissapointed with the raptors susp. there is good and bad with everything just research as much as u can and see which one fits you, your needs, and your budget the best then do it.
