I recently purchased a used 2000 wolverine and the guy that had it before me put a k&n air filter in it. Everything else is stock. i was wondering what else i could do to squeeze some more power out of this thing?

Get a Dyno Jet Kit..............most bang for the buck then anything you can do to it in my opinion
Helped mine out alot!
It has alot better throttle response and starts better in cold weather.
I also have a Supertrapp IDS2 exhaust which I really like........sounds good and looks good!

That all depends on how much money you wanna spend. Could go with a pipe and dyno jet kit for a little extra power wich is fairly cheap or do like my bro did and went with the FST 500 kit. Now that is awsome. he put on a set of dished rims to widen it out a bit with works shocks and it has a manual clutch conversion in it. now thats awsome.this thing feels like driving a full mod warrior but 4x4. if it had a way to unlock the 4x4 this bike would be what i would be building next. It is undescribable. I wish yammy would build a raptor with 4x4 that can be unlocked and still keep the bike under 500lbs wouldnt that be bad ****.

It is a kit by Four Stroke Tech.(FST) If you get the dirtwheels mag.. about a year ago they had a test on a 500cc fst wolverine. The kit installed runs about 2000-2500 not sure on exact price but in my opinion its worth the money. If i can find the article ill scan it and email it to yah. Or maybe post it on my site.

Great,I'am looking forward to reading it.I also think that yamaha should do the Warrior/Wolverine Raptor/Rocket*(insert name here) split to do the performance 4x4 buggy thing ,That seemed successfull the last time around and I won't buy one unless its 4x myself,Personal preference of course.

I agree that I'd love to a 4x4 Raptor, but can you imagine what the price would be??
In Canada the Raptor is going for $9299 + tax so add on all the 4x4 stuff, and shaft drive for the rear and it would be alot of money.
But if it came with removable racks, trailer hitch and you could put a winch on it...I'd finally have something that I'd trade my Wolverine in on!

$50 or $60 for the jet kit i think & a pipe is $250 US.I thought about the jet kit,but my tech knoweledge is limited to the basics..messing with drilling out carb jets is a little intimidating.

Are there any bad side effects to the jet kit? How much would it cost to have a "pro" do it?
