Default 110cc dies after getting hot

Hi, I could use some help. my kid's Taotao 125 (110cc) will run just fine for quite a while and then it will die when it gets hot. It won't start until it has cooled down for a bit. It is pretty new with not many hours on it. Any help is certainly appreciated! Thanks

how hot its hot? Possible its over heating? Have you checked the oil make sure its up to full? Is your kid just putting around or is he going at some speed? if he is just putting around things are probably overheating. the engines need air flow to cool

either fuel vapor locking or possibly a coil malfunction when the coil gets hot and expands it may seperate at some point and when it cools it will once again have continuity?

Thanks Zrock and Brumbear. Oil level is fine and my boy rides it faster than putting around but it was running too rich. Maybe that was causing it. I have re-adjusted the carb now but haven't rode enough yet to see if that was causing it to overheat. The coil thing might be something too. Any way to test without just replacing it?

Yep, I looked it up on eBay. I'll give it a try and see if it doesn't fix the problem. Thanks!

Default Still dying when it gets hot

Well I am have gotten good at swapping out carburetor's now. I did find the plastic spacer between the manifold and carb was cracked through so I thought I had it solved. Replaced it and got it to run right for 2 hours or so before the symptoms came back. When it dies like it does, you can choke it and get it to run a little bit but erratically. It seems to be getting air in from some where. I have checked and made sure the carb bolts are tight and the top is screwed on good and they are. Have swapped the carburetor out twice and still the same result. I am using 100% 93 octane gas as well. Be glad for any additional ideas anyone may have. Thanks!

take your carb back off and the connection between carb and engine where they bolt together. Take a little rtv silicone to the surface. Let it cure up over night. This will eliminate 100% any air leaks in that area. Old RC trick for sealing carbs works great.
