4x4 question
#1
My friend just got a 335 Sportsman and the 4x4 only works sometimes. He has a dead Battery, will this cause the hubs not to lock when the wheels slip? Does any one know how much a new Master Cylinder is, his is leaking, and is it hard to change? Thanks for any replies

Cant help you on the dead battery/4x4 problem for much, But I was in to my local dealer to price the righthand master cylinder on the 6x6, which looks like the same master cylinder thats on the left. He gave me a price of $110 for the whole assy. They are not hard to swap out, it will probably be more of a hassle bleeding the brakes then installing the new cylinder. Polaris may offer a master cylinder rebuild kit for alot less money then a new one, and they are not hard to install either. gj

Yes the 4x4 system needs a full 12 volts of power not 11.5 or less that is the problem. What is wrong with the Battery? Also if you replace the batt, You need to trickle charge the Unit until fully charged or You can damage the charging system. And also If you don,t the system wont keep the batt fully charged.

Thanks for the help. As far as what is wrong with the battery i have no idea. he just got this machine the other day. But it had been sitting since Aug. Even after sitting for so long it still pulled started in 2 or 3 pulls so that was really impressive to me. Thanks again for the help
