125cc atv need help with fuel lines and vacuum lines
#1
Hi all recently picked up this zongshen 125 atv that was disabled by a young man and with no manual or anything to really look at I'm stumped, there is a peacock with 4 male ends a and the intake manifold also has a male end the carb has a couple different ports, if anyone has a picture or diagram of the fuel and vacuum lines or just a point in the right direction would be great

now your carb may not be exactly what you see in any of these videos, but the step by step instructions and the principle is the same. if you're still uncomfortable doing the carb, then take it to a cycle shop and pay them <$100 to clean it.

Well I cleaned the carburetor took the bowl off and seen some gunk in the bottom there were only 2 removal jets the one seemed ok but the one in the middle was plugged actually had to drill it out with a 1/16 bit, removed the top and the plunger was pretty clogged cleaned it and seems to move freely, there was one one the choke side I removed it and it was tarnished but not clogged , pretty sure that one is the air fuel mix , anyway put it back together and it would only idle on choke but did have throttle response now however would only run with the a 1/4 throttle or better and had white smoke, I'm gonna try to run Lucas carb cleaner through it with premium gas, my question would be that fuel air jet how to set it as I can't get to it once the carb is mounted I can see it but just can't get in there, any thoughts

with all that gunk in the carb Id guess the pilot circuit of the carb is plugged.. The carb needs super cleaning(soaking in carb gunk maybe) and the tube the main jet screws into has holes in the side of it.. they need to be clear...
1 1/2 turns out is a good place to start for the fuel screw... past 3 turns and you need a bigger jet.
