Newbie lookin for a used ATV
#1
Hey fellas, fresh face from east Texas here. I'm lookin for a model for simple trail riding, hauling camping/hunting/fishing gear, no hills to speak of where I go either. No getting hardcore, I'm too old (47) for that stinky mud.
So far in my research I am finding that with a budget of 3000.00 I am lookin at an early to mid 2000's non-fuel injected model. I am seeing a few Honda Foreman's that through further research is showing to be a sound rig for my purpose's. Also, I'm a big boy, 250+, tryin to lose it but we know how that goes.
All opinions are greatly welcome and appreciated, thanks!

The Foreman is a good choice since at 250lb the Foreman's full size chassis is roomy.
Unlike for example a 420 Rancher or 450 Grizzly that have almost the same motor size as a Foreman but have a smaller less roomy "mid size" chassis.

The nice thing about the 400 AC is that it has the exact same large full sized chassis as the 700 2007 Arctic Cat 400 4x4 Automatic ATVs Also AC have the largest gas tanks so you do not have to bring extra gas on a day ride.
With a 6.5 gal tank the thing must go 120 miles on one fill up.

12 inches of clearance was another selling point.
