Anyone know of a place I can get Raptor Brake pads. Just got back from the dealer and they say that no aftermarket company is making the Raptor pads. So he had to order them from Yamaha.....$44.00 just for the rear pads. That's over $100 bones just to replace the pads on a quad.

Tell your dealer he's full of it! The raptor pads are the same as the banshee/400ex you should be able to get these for $20-$25 a set I know this for a fact. Tell him you want either the banshee pads or the 400ex pads I am absolutely positive that they are the same. Take your pads off and go in with them and you'll see that they are the same! If you want I can get you the brakes but after shipping you'll probably have $30 per set so I would go to dealer and get some locally but its up to you.

As you can see from my signature I have a 400ex also and can get those pads anywhere. This is probably just like asking for a Raptor 12t counter sprocket. They do not have one but they have one for a '00 YZ250 which is the same.

Here is the PAD# FA84R OR FA84X either will work depending on what kind of compound you want! Tell your know nothing dealer that the part# from Tucker Rocky is 61-1844! The dealer should have them on stock because these are very common brake pads! ONe more thing tell him to give them to you at cost for helping him out because either he's lazy or lets say not to bright!hehe

I just got a new set of rear pads (White bros) at a ride area (obviously cost more). They are definitely the same as Banshee's.

Yeah, EXTREME165 is so right, I owned a 400ex and have owned and do own a Banshee. They are the same pads. Man, its a shame that you have to go through a Yamaha dealer to get a Yamaha product.
