I have a Outlander 2up 1000 MAX XT 2015 looking ahead at new tires and want to use the Radial Bighorns (not the 2.0 Tires) problem is Rocky Mountain ATV does not have my size which is Front 26X8X12 Back 26X10X12 but they do have front 26X9X12 back 26X12X12. Looks like wider on both front and back anybody know if these tires will work? or will I have turning Radius problems with them or any other issues.

9 wide front is nothing but 12 wide back sure is a leap but it sure would work since the back always have lots of room to spare compare to the front.

My little 350 Grizzly/Bruin fitted Maxxis Zillas 26x9-12 and 26x11-12 with room to spare and they had the 1.19" lug.

I think you will prefer 9 wide fronts over 8 with a 26" tall tire anyways.
8" wide on a 26" tire would look pretty flimsy I would think.

My 26x11 looked pretty good.

Everyone likes Big Horns who buys them it seems even the cheaper 2.0 version.

 

Just always a little nervous about modifications different than what is stock, always feel I may run into problems somewhere else. But when I called Pr0-Caliber where I bought the Quad they didn't seem to think it would be a problem even mounting them on my stock rims.

 

12" rims are 12'' rims. Always found it odd that some people think they need different rims for taller tires.

 

Just check the tie rod ends for clearance. If you go to a one inch wider tire that will be 1/2" on the inside of tire and 1/2" on the outside. If you don't have a 1/2" to spare it won't work.

 

YES but we are not talking about TALLER, we are talking about Wider...........aren't we.

 

Does not matter a 7.5" rim can mount a 9" tire or 12" all that happens it the side wall front prophile bulges out more but the tire to rim bead still holds.

The rim width should be stamped right on the rim then just call any tire shop and they will tell you your width limits.

 

I was told yesterday by the local Can Am dealer that the front would not be a problem but moving from a 10 to 12 on the back would they recommended a larger rim for the back just to be safe. But if I'm going to do that I might as well get new for the front as well so they match, but all this for Bighorns I'm rethinking, and maybe just leave well enough alone
