Unhappy Taotao ata 125cc will start and rev but will not move

I bought a tao Tao 125cc atv for my daughter for Xmas. when we were in a large field it decided it no longer wants to move. it starts, shifts into forward and reverse, revs when I give it gas, but won't move.

it does not have a belt, only a chain. I drained the oil, and removed the cover, and while exposed it moved.then I put the cover back on, and it won't move again.

someone please help, I cannot figure out what is wrong.

What cover did you remove?

Id think you need to adjust the clutch.

The cover over the area that has the clutch and transmission. It has a screw and nut coming out the middle of it

Adjust that nut and screw under the cover.. loosen the nut and screw the screw in the screw until it bottoms out.. loosen the screw about 1/4 turn and tighten the nut.

That would be counter clockwise then 1/4 to 1/2 turn out, I highly doubt that would be it though, that's normally only for shifter or roll on idle, I'd say if new clutch don't do it's internal & better replace engine.
