Does the starting assembly include a bendix gear? My sportsman had the same issue, and turned out the bendix was sticking and not extending to engage with the flywheel. Soaked it in an oil bath, cleaned it up and works fine now.

No bendix. I took starter back off and tried to turn chain inside, the chain feels like its not connected. Going to take left side off see whats going on I think a spring broke or came loose. Thank you for responding!

I figured it out the chain came off the lower sprocket.

Chain driven starter eh? That's a new one for me. Glad you figured it out.

The long running Kawasaki KLF300 had a chain drive starter. That Loncin engine is a Chinese copy of a Honda scooter motor, this has become one of the most used clones for circa 110cc Chinese Quads, like the GY6 is for 150s.
