Default AWD Indicator Light near Switch

I know this is not a big thing but, I am trying to learn something. I have searched this site as well as the service manual I have and cannot find a fix. The AWD light next to the switch is not working. The AWD however is working. I can't find that this is a separate bulb, etc., but have not taken the switch body on the handlebars apart yet as the temps have been brutally cold out. I have been using the machine for plowing snow and can see the tires spinning. What should I look for or is this one of those not worth it look sees? Thanks--Lou

Older models had the external awd button with the small bulbs. On the newer controls, bulb is not replaceable. On these I wouldn't worry about it if the awd is working ok unless you want to spend the money.

Just happened to think about pulling the connector at the control housing and cleaning it up along with using a little dielectric grease.May be the connection for the indicator light isn't making a good contact.

Ebay has them, but before I'd pay 9 bucks for one I'd at least see if possible to find one at a local auto store or search for "mini bulbs" OR don't worry about it if the awd works okay..I gave up looking for them on line.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Polaris-Indicator-Light-Bulb-/271811611013?hash=item3f493c0985&vxp=mtr

I saw them listed at:
4030047 BULB,DEMAND-DRIVE IND. (3.94)
and
Polaris 4030047 BULB,DEMAND-DRIVE IND. ($3.44)

but be sure to check shipping charges. I've never ordered from either of them before so can't help there.

The older models actually needed a working bulb to complete the circuit to have AWD but not so on the later models.
The AWD bulb is pretty useless on newer models since it is stated right on the switch in plain print if its in AWD or 2wd anyways.
