Wonder where they sold at originally? Looks like something you could have picked up at a place like Sears or Montgomery Wards back in the day.

 

True. I had a 5hp Go Kart from back around then, think dad bought it at Sears but I've seen the same design with MW sticker on it too. That was a lot of fun for me as a pre-teen. Drove off the left rear wheel (made turning left difficult) and I wore out both rear tires (brakes and spinning out). Couldn't even fit on it when I got to HS and as I was heavier it didn't have as much go to it. As for this 3 wheel thing, I wonder how safe/unsafe it is? I'd be tempted to put a bigger motor on it. I'd think it should have a much bigger tire on the front too. Might be fun in the snow.

 

Here's one GoKart like I had, only difference is mine didn't have that roll bar along the side (sad that they had no concept of safety back then, thankfully I never got in that situation);

That's something like the one I wanted when I was a kid. I can see someone hurting their feet on this one.

 

That doesn't look very comfortable, and as you say if you aren't careful you could hurt a foot.

Another danger about gokarts like what I had; friends of ours had the same model and my sister was riding with her friend and they stopped for something then she went back to crank it with the cord and to balance herself she grabbed the muffler she had some good second degree burns on her palm for a time. I usually put my foot on the frame to balance.

 

That isn't a snowco nomad, it's a Montgomery Wards t555 Trail master terrain trike. Made for and sold by Montgomery Wards out of Omaha Nebraska they are similar but the wards had that goofy hoop footrests (it's missing the heal guards) and if you look there's a flange half way down the main tube that was one of their selling points, so you could take it apart and put it in a car

 

 

A big 5 HP Briggs & Stratton engine. That's almost as funny as my spell checker that thinks "Stratton" is "castration".

 

Look its easily converted for winter fun lol. And you can haul it in your station wagon as long as you take off the rear hatch. I've seen people haul quads in minivans though. Can be done if you take all the rear seats out. A full size cargo van could probably fit 2 smaller quads. I used to drive one for work many years ago and we measured the cargo area as 12 ft from the back of the seat to the rear door. Ours was a 3/4 ton model so the weight wouldn't have been a problem either.
