Just installed new tires and wheels on my 2000
Explorer and wanted to report my initial impressions. Titan 589's mounted on itp magnum
wheels. Size 26x9x12 front& 26x12x12 on the rear.
Ground clearance increased 11/16". Total increase
in weight is 49 lbs. I lost around 4 mph on top
end and its a little slower out of the hole. It's
a little squirrely on hardpack above 45 mph but
does ride smooth. Purchased them from Rocky Mtn
total cost with shipping was 672.00 and received
them in 6 working days. They look awesome can't wait to get them in the mud !!!!!!!

Nothing rubs in the little bit of riding that I've
done. The front tire is close to the rubber boot on
the tie rod end and I'll have to keep an eye on it.I did leave in my rubber spacers on the front
springs that I use in the winter when plowing snow

I’d be very interested in knowing the specs on this combo for a data base I’m putting together that I plan to share with this forum. Right now I have specs on Mud Runners, Trackers (stock), Kenda Bear Claws and Bi/Tri Claws. Filled with 5# of air, what do your front wheels and tires weigh? Rears? How tall are they, and how wide? (so that this test is consistent, lay the tire on a table/bench, push the tire against a wall. With something square against the tire opposite the wall, measure the distance between the wall and square to get tire height. Then with a straight edge long enough to lay completely across the sides of the tire at its widest points, measure the distance between the table and the straight edge to get tire width)

Are these 589s, 589 M/S or 589 M/Ts?

Wow, that was fast! ITP Magnums weigh 7 pounds 6 ounces each. So it appears your front tires weigh just under 26 pounds each and your rears weigh about 31 each without wheels. The heights and widths surprise me. It’s rare a 9” tire measures wider than (or even right at) 9”. The narrower-than-12” of the rears is likely due to such a wide tire on a 7” wheel. ITP should really make that wheel in an 8” wide with a deeper inside dish.

If you measured the heights off the bike then those are ****-poor numbers for a 26” tire. A full inch and more below the advertised height is an insult to us consumers. Thanks for your contribution to my “list.”
