Default XC Racing Trailblazer 250

I'm interested in XC racing my Polaris Trailblazer. It all ready has a full dg pipe and silencer. I'm wondering what else to do to it. Are people still making clutch kits?

Thanks

Hmm, my advice? Just go run it like it is and see what happens. You will likely need a tether kill switch for it. After that, invest in some hand guards and good goggles with roll offs and have some fun. The Trailblazer may not be the only quad in the stable if you get into it, if you know what I mean.

Here are some Mods for the motor Aaen Performance - Polaris ATV Two Stroke - Top End Pipes . Some are pricy ,may be cheaper to sell the ATV and find a good used stock z400 instead.

I already have the tether kill switch and full hand guards.(wraps over top of hand) Now what's the difference/advantage of roll off vs. Tear offs?

Tear offs add multiple thicknesses you have to look through, but give you a larger view port. They also leave litter as they get ripped off and thrown to the side. Roll offs last a lot longer but are problematic if water gets in the system (not likely) or gets in between the film and the goggle. There are some goggles that let you put a few tear offs over a roll off system. That can be a hot setup as the first few miles when you are packed up tend to be the toughest on vision. I like Scott, and usually have a complete set or two in baggies inside my hydro pack. A mud race with poor vision sucks, and racing with no goggles is a great way to loose an eye. I would rather take the time to put on fresh goggs and gloves vs ride without.

Another thing, suspension in xc will make most riders faster before motor mods. Average speeds are often less than 15mph, so low/mid and suspension are where it is at.

Oh alright, I currently have a set of foxes that allows tear offs that I use. And I'm up in Ohio, so I'm very accustomed to riding in the mud. Thanks for the input.
