Just rode my raptor with the full DMC ALIEN pipe. The pipe is weaker on the bottom to mid compared to a Big Gun(just sold my Big Gun),but it easily rev's a lot higher.I have a 12 tooth front sprocket and i thought i was in top gear, but i had one more to go.Much more top end than the Big Gun.This is what i was looking for.We all know the raptor doesn't need more low end.I will richen the pilots up next time out to see what effect it has on the bottom.

How does the DMC headpipe compare to the Big Gun as far as size is concerned? Does it look like it would be able to flow a stroked 660? I have the BG now and it does make great low end,but it seems to pull as good if not better than the CT or Graydon on the top end, would you say that the DMC has a noticible improvement over the CT pipe on top end? Im not saying that your pipe does not do as you say,but some pipes pull differently with different setups such as gear changes, jetting, ect.Im just wondering if the price would be justified if my BG seems pretty strong.

The headpipes seem to be close in diameter to one another, but tomorrow i plan on getting my digital calipers from work and measuring them, and i will let you know the difference. My brother has a Big Gun on his raptor, and he rode mine and said the same thing. We both have the same jetting. We just rode on the street, but on friday we're going to the dunes. That's where the real test will be.As far as comparing the DMC to a Graydon or CT,i don't know. The person i spoke with at Graydon said they're the same except the finish.I have a brand new Graydon, but i'm not going to run it because i want to sell it as new.The DMC was delivered to me first, and that's one of the reasons why i used it.

Finally...someone with the new DMC Alien for the Raptor. Well, you've already answered how it performs, tell me how it sounds. Is it real loud, how does it compare to the big gun exhaust or the GYTR? My Raptor should be in by Thursday, and I want to order something as soon as possible. Maybe someone might have a better recommendation. I trail ride, nice wide open fast trails. About 6'4", 250 lbs.

Buddah, what jetting do you have on your Raptor?
I have 147.5-152.5 jets on mine with the full Big Gun system and Pro-Design filter setup with the airbox lid removed. It runs great with no hiccups anywhere and killer low-end but I don't think it's jetted quite right. I pull wheelies easier but I can't get up Sand Mtn. any faster than before, it feels flat on the mid-top range. When I am decelerating it burbles and back-fires a little bit and the plug shows little to no color. When I put the lid on the airbox it runs about the same. Do you think i'm lean? Anybody else have any suggestions?

We ride at 5000ft in Utah. No need to go higher then 150-155 here.

You need to jet way up, you are about to burn that piston. I would suggest starting out at 160,165 and work it from there. I am running the same set up that you are and i have 165,170 jets in mine. I started out with 150,155 and that was way lean, especially with the Pro D kit.You will pick up a lot of power everywhere if you are jetted that lean.

No2StrokeBs, what elevation are you at? Keeping in mind that I am at 5,000 feet do you still think I need to go that big on the jets?

Since Buddah is my brother I think I will buy the Graydon he's got also. We have had our Raptors since mid Nov. and ridden the crap out of them. Nothing works a motor harder then the dunes, let alone the baddest sand hill in the country and our jetting is right on. Ours would have blown up long ago if the jetting wasn't on. Don't worry about your jetting, your good. We'll check back after friday and tell you how the Graydon compares to the DMC and B.G.
