Default 95 400L motor swap

seeking options on this poor thing- is there another 2 stroke motor, aircooled is fine that would pretty much bolt up, mount and clutchwise this motor is bad and since these seem to be problematic was thinking it might be cheaper and more reliable to swap in another motor even if smaller is fine thanks and look forward to hearing opinions on this

A 250 or 300 engine will drop right in,use the same clutches. You probably would have to have the front and rear engine mounting brackets, top motor mount can stay from the 400 as they all three share the similar type mount. Of course you'd have to have the complete stator, flywheel and cdi,but could probably use the existing regulator. Chunk the radiator, keep the fan IF you wish and run it off a toggle.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
