went out today to buy sportsman 500ho. One little problem though and that is no dealers have any in my area. When asked when they will be in no one knew and could not even promise anything for the next month. Something don't make sense. Busy time of year and no one around has the best selling automatic and has no idea when they will be getting any. I asked if can transport one from another dealer somewhere and they claimed would be very difficult to find one since they have been trying to find some for other people. Are they still in production or is something else coming out soon? Any help would be grateful.

I'm having the same problem with the scrambler 500 4x4. My dealer hasn't had one for a long time and they can't seem to get any in anywhere. I kind of makes me mad. I wanted one a while ago but the can't meat my demandes. Thats crappy service if you ask me.

Both of you guys are in luck. On the Highlifter forum there is mention on a new Sportsman 700 & Scrambler 700 which is no longer rumor. It appears that their production is gearing up for these two new ATV. All the Sportsman 500 HO's at our dealer were manufacturered in December of last year. I wish Polaris would officially announce something.

One thing to remember is that atleast my dealer does not know what he is getting in his shipment. He has got 7 scramblers sitting out and 2 in the crate. So it is possible that he can't get any because they don't know what they are getting in.

has anybody asked these dealers why they arnt getting any more HO's in?? im wondering if the dealers know that the sp700 is coming but do not want to tell anybody.
if they told that the sp700 was coming then nobody would buy the HO's.

My local dealer has both the Sportsman 500HO and the Scrambler 4x4 in stock. They have at least 5 or 6 Sportsmans sitting built and ready plus some in creates. MotoVation in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Have your dealer call them if you really want one.

We have plenty of 500ho's sitting around in SC. See them on the lot everyday.

500 HO shortage? NOT! At least here in Minnesota they are everywhere and cheap prices. Even got your pick of color too.

Now a shortage Scramblers maybe I have not seen many of those in stock.

Your dealer receives shipments of Polaris models every two weeks. He gets what he orders within reason and should always know what is coming in.

Is your dealer playing it too close to the vest or has he been cherry picking the model line up and the factory is playing hardball with him?

Something is not quite right in the responses by your dealer.
