Default 96 xplorer 400L 2 stroke

2,800 miles

Father in laws rig. He said it has been over heating (light came on). I know it has had a small coolant leak for a while, appears to be coming from the left side but I haven't confirmed that.

I can see through the radiator fins, doesn't look clogged. This atv doesn't see mud or rough riding.

I bypassed the thermal switch and the fan came on but it sounded like rocks for bearings. My question is can the bearings be replaced on these motors?

Now I'm not sure if the thermal switch isn't working or if the other two problems are creating the overheating??

Usually the sensor at the top of the radiator shorts out if coolant falls below it not allowing the fan kick on.. If it's leaking coolant fix this problem first. See if you can match this sensor up at an auto supply. Item #8. Hey opt

I got the fan fixed. Im fairly certain i have it assembled properly. Its pushing air into the radiator, this seem right? Looking at the radiator with fan installed its rotating ccw.
