Does anyone know if it is possible to take the bearing off of the shaft of a Scrambler starter? There seems to be a lip at the edge of the gear that prevents the bearing from being removed. My bearing is in bad shape - but it does not look like it can be replace. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I think you have to replace the complete unit, I know I have had to when water got in and buggered the starter. Look closley at the diragrams on the Polaris web site and see what that looks like.
