More and more I notice people using a spacer. I just put the deltas in my 2000 xplor 400 4x4 about a month ago. I noticed great improvment in the low to mid range. What more does the spacer do to the low to mid? Where can I purchase one? How much?

Fullthrottle

I added the reeds and spacer at the same time, so I can't comment on the effectiveness of the spacer, but talking to Rick Ritter, he said the spacer gives more low down. This is what I wanted for trail riding. Others I have spoken to say you forsake some top end, but not that I can tell.

I talked to HPD and Moto Tassarini and they both told me the spacer will not affect top end except on a Banshee. They also stated that it takes away all "choppyness" in the low and midrange and helps out the low end a bit.

"Choppyness"? What is that, excuse my ignorance.

Choppyness... by that I think they meant "rough spots" in the throttle at low to midrange. In other words it smooths out the power delivery. (at least that's what I was told)

Thanks. I thought the only chopyness I ever got was when I went fishing in the boat! LOL.
