Default fuel octane rating

Recently purchased a new Kymco 450i UTV and looking for an octane rating for the fuel requirements. Read the owners manual numerous times and see no mention of it. What fuel requirements do other machines recommend?
Currently running 92 octane until I find out for sure. Thanks in advance for your input.

Octane rating requirements should be listed on the vehicle emissions control decal wherever it's located. A little blurry on the pdf owners manual I checked on the decals page(page14),but all the other models including the Maxxer 450i which I suppose would be the same engine listed an 87 octane rating.

Thanks for your reply, I did search the stickers but the damn writing is so small no one could read it unless you stand on your head with strong magnifying glasses. In the mean time as I continued my search I have stumbled across some info on fuel ratings for their machines probably while you were posting your reply. And yes you are correct the mfg does list regular fuel of 87 octane for their machines. Not sure if the gov't mandate for regular gas applies to these UTV's or not but I do see many of the offroad machines now produced have gone to regular 87 octane fuel requirements now, unless listed as a performance model. Thanks again for your help..

87 is sort of the industry standard now unless you have a high compression engine. Most of the Ktm engines showed to take 93 or higher and a lot of guys with modded engines mixed Vp race fuel 50/50 with pump gas to make sure. Even better if you're close to places that have non ethanol fuel. Most engines run better and fuel stays fresher a lot longer without that blamed ethanol.
