Hello everyone,

I am in the process of getting a new sportsman 570 and I want to look at upgrades such as lift kit, tires & rims. I would like to go with a 2" lift and possibly 28" tires. The OEM tires and rims are 25x8x12/25x10x12 and wanted to inquire if anyone has performed these mods recently and how big you went. I am wondering if I could possibly go up to a 14" rim with 28x10's (Front) and 28x12's (Rear). What are your thoughts? Also, I am having trouble finding a lift kit. I thought highlifter may carry one, but it seems as if there are none out there for the 2016 570. I will keep looking and see what you all come back with. Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions.

I would forget the lift kit, how about 27x14? You will only lose 1/2" ground clearance going with 27".

Did you buy the 570SP? If it has struts, the 2015 should be the same.

Once you go lift, you will need axles sooner than later.

 

I spoke with the dealer and he recommended only a 2" and we are looking at putting 28x9x15 tires/wheels on there. I didn't want anything to big, just for the axle reasons. Thanks.

I also wanted to add, is there an upgrade for the battery on these ATVs? I have heard everyone talking about the battery placement and today I finally saw it first hand. That really sucks where Polaris put this. Any ideas of upgrades for this as well.

 

There is nothing wrong with the battery location, it it in the same spot as the 500x2. Buy a battery tender, and tender if after each ride, no need to leave it on all the time.

My battery lasted 44 months, I tendered it and kept the water topped up.

Mine is in a worse location, the left rear wheel well. But no room to put it where yours is due to my oil tank bring there.
Get some pics please, after lift tires too please.

 

Unless Polaris changed suspensions for 2016 the 2" kits out there should work. You can clear 27's without (need to crank up rear shock). Also, unless they started putting better CV boots on them (not the hard almost plastic looking ones) plan on upgrading axles. The fronts are garbage and the rears get trashed because the boots tear easily (had this issue on my wife's 2014). Had good luck with the Sixity XTA axles on hers and they are very reasonably priced on ebay. As for rims, stock Polaris (see lots of them for sale cheap on Craigslist) 14" will need spacers if you want to have the center cap (hits on hub otherwise). Battery is fine if you keep a trickle charger on it as mentioned by others. If you do upgrade, Batteries Plus has decent prices on AGM batteries. The Polaris Ogio semi rigid lock & ride bag for the rear is great too if you are looking at storage options.

 

Here is a pic of the 570 beast. I don't think I will be able to pry my son off of it. Here are the specs: Front/Rear bumbers, 2" lift from xtreme, tires: EFX MotoClaw 29x9x15(Front), 29x10x15(rear), 15" M28 Ambush MCA wheels (Flat black), and next week the QuadBoss 3500lb winch goes on. As you can see it really looks mean and the ride is outstanding. I was really impressed with how well it turns with those tires and lift.
