I have a 98 SP500 and changing brakes are a fact of life. The dealer has told me that Polaris has changed the compostion of the brakes for the 2001 product line giving them a 5x-7x longer life. You guys that have upgraded is there really a difference or is this guy full of it.

1,800 miles so far and lots of pad left. I will put on another 200 miles this weekend so I'll tell you Monday how much brake pad I have left after greasing.

BTW the new pads and disk material have all but eliminated brake squeel also.
