Exclamation Tao Tao 125 with the Forward neutral and reverse lever shifting problems

I have a TaoTao 125 with the forward neutral and reverse lever it will go into reverse and move it will go into neutral but when I put it into forward or drive it does not move I was told it may be the sprocket on the output shaft but that was from the person I bought it from but when you put it into forward or into gear to drive you can hear it click but it doesn't move but like I said it will go into reverse and I can drive it backwards as much as I want any ideas of what I could do would be appreciated

If their is a shift linkage on the machine try disconnecting the lever and shifting into forward by hand. If its a solid shift arm with no adjustment make sure its not rubbing on something. Other than that it will be a internal problem and you will have to dig into it

I was told something about a sprocket by the person. I bought it from
