Default Oil loss polaris sportsman 1000

My oil level has dropped a couple notches on my 1000 and I check it before every ride and it's always on the full mark when cold and recently just put a fuel tuner and high flow air filter and before then the oil never had moved off the full mark and I got abkut 250 miles 25hrs since the last oil change and shoukd i be alarmed it's a new machine with right under 500 miles

May just be a coincidence on the freer flowing air filter and tuner.Top the oil off and see if it drops again, plus check for any non obvious places on the engine for oil to possibly leak.Large bore engines do at times use a little oil between changes. The Rzr 800 seemed to be the worst on this and some people didn't check them often enough. If oil use seems unacceptable, get it back to the dealer before the warranty is up.

Yea it's probably nothing to be concerned about and if I check it an hr after riding it's on the full mark but if I check it cold after its sitting all night it's half way down the stick

Look at your owners manual. Most machines need to be cranked up for a couple minutes then kill them. Let them sit a minute or so,pull and wipe the dip stick and check oil level.
This is from the 850 manual:
15. Start the engine and allow it to idle for one to two minutes.
16. Stop the engine and check for leaks.
17. Re-check the oil level on the dipstick and add oil as
necessary to bring the level to the upper mark on the
dipstick.
18. Dispose of used oil and filter properly.
