What type oil do you use in the engine and transmittion besides Polaris brand.

 

I used Castrol in the motor. Think when it was low, I just got the polaris brand for the transmission. Doesn't take that much, and I 3 polaris in the yard. I think the one spot OPT recommended sticking with polairs brand fluids was the hubs. Don't quote me on that, I'm sure he'll look in here and give the full scoop on the fluid do's and don't s.

 

There's been enough time that almost all oil brands have oils for different applications. If mine I'd use Polaris Demand Drive for the diff and Agl for the gear case. Die hard Amsoil fans would probably use all of these.

 

In my case the only thing I stick with that's Polaris is the Belt and AWD Fluid. There are many good synthetic oils and oil filters to chose from.

 

I run Polaris in the trans/rear diff and front diff. T6 5W40 in the engine is hard to beat. I figure up here alternatives are not any cheaper, I get to support my dealer and check the goodies out too.

 

For the money T6 is hard to beat whether in atvs or street bike engines.

 

Yupp. Run it in everything, tractor included.

 

Same here.. Used it in the old Honda,my son used in the Suzuki Sv 650 and 1000. I'm using it in the riding mower and push mower also. Change em both at the beginning of mowing season and no oil burning or problems for several years use now. One of the cheaper and better(imo) synthetic oils out there.

 

Some Dealer parts are not a bad price, I bought a Polaris battery for the same price as a aftermarket and I use to buy the Polaris oil change KIT BOX for what aftermarket oil and filter would cost anyways.

On the other hand my Canadian dealer wanted $320 for a new fan that I found for $80 online brand new (Same Spal Fan).

 

Buy a Polaris battery you're actually buying a Yuasa. Seems like most of the power sports industry use them on their machines as original equipped. One of the best overall batteries you can get. Interstate makes a good replacement for oem also.
