Has anyone had expereince with the superwinch and can it me mounted on the inside of the bumper instead of the outside of the bumper. Can the winch body stand the compressional loads, if mounted on the inside? Is superwinch a good winch?

I have a t1500 superwinch on my rancher.Price was a deceiding factor in my purchase. I got mine on yahoo auctions , my mount came from cabelas. Yes it fits nicely inside the bumper. There is no doubt in my mind that the warn winches are better, but the superwinch works well, I'm satisfied with it.I have pulled a few quads out of some bad situations, pulled a few stumps out and used it to raise & lower my plow. It has not let me down. The people at superwinch are really good to deal with. I had a question about the switch that came with my winch and they sent me a new updated switch for free.Ifvmoney is no object , go with a warn. But I would recommend the superwinch , good value for the money. One more thing , get a ****** block, it's worth it.

I have a t-1500 superwinch on my Kawasaki Prairie 300 4x4. I have pulled out many other 4 wheelers along with my self on occasion. The only con to the wench is the short 25 feet of cable. I did talk to the rep at superwench obout adding more cable to the winch (40-50 feet) and they said that the wench could handle the xtra cable but it would decrease the amount of weight that the motor would pull. For now though I use a 20 foot tow rope.
