does it matter if i have different brand /tire tread formation tires on my atv? i know that the size matters like i have to have 1 inch bigger in the front than in the back, but does it matter if say i buy some quad boss tires for the rear tires and get some kenda bearclaws for the front.

no it does not matter as long the sizes are correct. you can even go up on the tire sizes, just keep the correct balance and you will be fine.
