Default 2003 polaris scrambler 500 Ho

Ok so we just put a new head gasket and head bolts in our 2003 polaris scrambler 500 Ho and I have read somethings that we need to recheck the head bolt torque after a few hours of riding. Is this true? If so how do you go about that since there is so many steps to take to torque them the first time?
Thanks in advance

Just check that the head bolts are still tight. The final sequence was (90 degrees) 1/4 turn. Shouldn't have loosened from this last sequence.
