Default 300 fourtrax axle keeps popping out of diff

I put a new front diff on my 300, I was told the axles were the same length, so i threw them in and went for a ride. When i got back I noticed the front right shaft was hanging out of the diff about half an inch, but it was still pulling. Why is it popping out? It happened once when I put it together so i pulled the little clip out and streched it a little so it would hold in, but it didnt work.

Had the same thing happen on some after market axles for Polaris and when held side by side and collapsed in all the way, they were a tad shorter the oem axles. Not all did this, but some I installed for customers that brought in their own parts did.Just a thought.

The littler spacer on the top of the front diff, the one that is held in place with the bolt, which side does it go on? i may have it on the wrong side.

I flipped the little spacer to the right side, if you are looking at the diff. Fixed my problem
