Default 2015 500 4x4 twist throttle?

I love my atv bought it new a year ago. My thumb well gets numb and starts to really hurt at long prolonged speeds.

Is there a twist throttle conversion anyone has used? I see a 2014 500 XL (looks identical to mine) there is but nothing for a 2015 500, unless for 2014 one will work.

Have you tried a thumb throttle extension? I used them for racing, really helps plus you can use your palm on the straights if you really need a rest. Twist throttles are not to my liking for quads as anything that torques the bars can make it hard to modulate the throttle at the same time. 4x4 would likely add to the phenomenon I would expect. Having said that, if you are set on one, most will work as long as it is for your bar size. The trick is getting a cable of proper length and with the correct fittings on each end. Still the universal setups are pretty cheap and usually work fine.

How tight are you gripping the bars? The GF was having the same issue until i realized she was gripping the bars with a death grip. Once i got her to relax her grip she was fine.. You can also get a replacement grip that uses the existing thumb throttle and converts it to twist. Im not a big fan of twist to hard to control in sensitive areas.
