Default Brand New Front Calipers wont lock up

I just purchased new front calipers for my trx250x. The calipers build pressure but the tires still move free when brake lever is pulled in. The lines are fine and just put on brand new master. What could be causing this?? All help/answers is greatly appreciated.

I didnt mean literally lock up but I bleed them pretty well and the piston only pushs the pads so much and the tire still moves pretty freely

You should be able to lock up the fronts.. where did you buy the calipers from?
OEM Honda or Ebay China stuff? New pads or worn out ones?
I know getting all the air out of the system is tough.. but needs to be done.. hope that helps..

I got them off of eBay but they aren't China ones. The pads are brand new. And most the air is out of them

Air is compressible..
Brake fluid is not..

If your hand brake is spongy, and the brakes wont stop the wheel..
You still have air in the system..

Check your MC under the little rubber flap there is a return port for the fluid.. it's the very small hole of the two, check with a piece of wire to make sure it is not plugged up.. then try to bleed the brakes again starting with the one furthest from the MC.

Take the caliper off the disc, put a flat head screwdriver between the piston and pull the lever. See how far the pistons are actually pushing out. Twist the screwdriver to help compress the piston if they closed together.

You didn'tsay if the caliper was new. May need to rebuild that.
