Question 2001 Fourtrax/TRX 350 FM clutch question

Shifting my manual clutch pedal seems to be getting stiffer and harder to shift. It still has the factory setting. Should I be decreasing or increasing the clutch adjustment to make shifting easier or is it something else?
Thanks

Ron

Thumbs up

Thanks PHS!
I will try increasing the adjustment. BTW, I did change the gear oil beforehand to semi-synthetic 80/90 since I run my quad in the winter too.

I did already change the motor oil to 10/40 for the summer. I'm not sure I know what you mean by "increase freeplay on clutch adjustment". Do I tighten or loosen the clutch adjustment screw?
Thanks

It has increase stampped on front engine case cover beside the clutch adjustment screw should be .I was just answering your question in your post you asked should i decrease or increase freeplay...Increase would be the correct way to adjust if gear lever is hard to change gears or hard to move into gear change.

Did you use an oil made for atv wet clutch? Gear oil doesnt effect gear lever.but 80/90 is correct there

If you get the clutch adjustment correct when you put you toe/foot under shifting lever an lift up with foot an leave there and then rev engine up and atv shouldnt move until you release foot...Think of it this way like an handlebar clutch on manual shift motorcycle foot and hand does the same thing, pull in clutch on motorcycle clutch stops pulling same has foot shifting lift foot clutch disenage.
