hey guys...
I ordered a harness off of ebay a few weeks ago. installed it and can only start the atv with the brake handle. the harness is connected the way its suppose to but I can't see to figure out why this would be happening. one thing that I noticed is that there is two connectors one that gets plugged into the rear brake light and I'm guessing the other is for the safety disconnect thats mounted near the rear of the quad. which I don't have. does that matter? now I'm wondering if there is another harness out there? or is it me doing something stupid. this quad was given to me for free by my boss. his son hacked up the harness and I though just replacing it would get it fixed. guess I was wrong. any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

No idea what a Sunl looks like but quads often are set up so the starter only works when the brake is on. So, if the starter motor runs when you use the brake, the start button must be shorted. Check the button and the wire(s) from it to the solenoid.
