my choke has a pin and a spring that screws into the housing and the carb that was sent to me has a different provision ?

 

Most of the replacement carbs look like this one that has the rubber boot and fitting on the carb that you can use your old choke cable with and spring and plunger if the new one doesn't have it. From what I see your old carbs choke is on the side. Should be able to work?
