I did some testing to see what kind of gains were given by the K&N air filter and the Goodyear Powerstreak belt on my 00 TrailBoss. I have had a green spring in for quite a while now, and am always looking for a cheap boost. I measured a spot where I hit 30mph on the 'ol bicycle speedo and ran the same distance with stock filter and belt, K&N and stock belt and K&N and Powerstreak. The K&N/stock belt allowed me to be at about 31.5mph at the marker. The K&N/Powerstreak dropped me back to 30! I ran all these several times just to be sure, but wound up with the K&N/Stock belt setup. Is the powerstreak too hard a compound to hook up good? Anyway, its done and there are the results.
