Trans on my 500
I have a 2001 2x4 scrambler 500. I had it off while putting tran fluid in dip stick what would cause it to shoot back out? And I only put a quart in it. And is this the original trans

What can cause the dipstick to shoot out? First off 32 ounce of oil is too much, even if you have a manual that says that amount. Usually between 18-20 ounces depending on the model. That's why the dip stick is there. Pour in a little at a time until you reach the full mark on the dip stick.Another reason is that pressure can build up if the gear case vent line is blocked.
