I am looking at a 2006 Yamaha Raptor 700. It costs $3,800 but I could get him down a couple hundred.

It has added nurf bars
Added front bumper
Upgraded exhaust
Upgraded muffler

It also comes with back sand tires but there trashed. The tires on the quad are pretty worn so I would need new tires soon.
So it has upgrades and seems like a great quad, but because I need new tires is it over prices? What do y'all think. Again its $3,800. Is it overpriced, reasonable priced or good deal?

If it didn't need new tires it would be worth closer to $2,800, not $3,800. They're asking $1,000 too much for it.

 

Ok, thanks for your replies. If I still go over there and look at it, What should I offer on it. Its been up for sale for like 2 1/2 months now and is over priced. Should I offer like 3,200? What do u think

 

I'd go with the $2800 that Kelly Blue Book said. Being for sale that long, the seller should realize that they need to accept less. Some people think their stuff is made of gold and ask for ridiculous prices. Or sometimes they don't really want to sell and price it high to scare everyone from buying it.

 

I'd flat out tell them that KBB said it was only worth $2,860 in excellent condition. Depending on which front bumper and nerf bars it has that could add as little as about $160 to the base price for brand new accessories which don't hold their value. You may not like the upgraded exhaust and want to change it, or you might like it as is, so I'm not adding or taking away anything for that. I'd offer them an even $3,000 and if they didn't take it I'd look for a different quad. Maybe offer them less since it needs new tires.

 

Ok, thanks. Im still now sure if I'm even going to look at this quad. But if I do, I think I'm offering 3,000, and it is in excellent condition, so the highest I will go is 3,200. Thanks for the help everyone
