Default 1987 polaris HELPPPP!

I recently got given i believe to be 1987 polaris. I dont know much about them. Been sitting a while. Cleaned carb. Tested spark. No spark im not sure where to begin with this. Any ideas? Any help is much apreciated

Doesn't have to have a battery on these old models to have spark. Get the manual and go though the electrical check list and resistance tests that can help you find the problem.https://www.tradebit.com/filedetail....air-manual-all

battery is charged but like stated above not sure it matters on the older models. Thanks for the link i will check it out. I appreciate the helpm keep the thoughta and ideas coming.

Any idea where i would be able to find a vin or number that would allow me to find out year make and model of my wheeler?

On the older models the vin number along with the model starting with #W87 on the right side frame down tube.Serial # on one side,model # on the other side of the square tube.
