Started a new post because the other post was before I knew it didn't have spark. Working on a 02 660R, has no spark. When I let off the start button I get one faint spark. When I unplugg the rectifier/regulator i have good spark and it will fire right up and revs like it should but as soon as I plug it back in it dies immediately.
one guy said it's a bad rectifier but from other searches I've read that if it runs with rectifier unplugged then it is stator. Pretty much none of the threads I find actually say what the fix was. So is like some help on pinpointing problem before I throw parts at it. Thanks for any help
