My son just got a 300ex it was starting just fine then all of the sudden the starter wouldn't work. I looked at the fuse under the seat which was blown put a new fuse in and as soon as I hit the starter button it blew that fuse. So I began looking at the wiring and there are some melted wires. It doesn't have any of the lights on it. So my question is what wires need to be hooked up to get this thing to start. I will eliminate all the wires not needed. Thanks for any and all help. Mike

 

You my friend need a service manual. I would check the entire wiring harness for other problem area too.
